Myra Thomas – Principal

Myra founded M.D. Thomas & Associates to allow her to bring her years of proven expertise and experience to help other organizations that are facing the same challenges she has already faced.

Myra Thomas began her career by taking a part-time job in human resources while attending college in North Carolina, majoring in Communication Studies. Quickly progressing in the HR field, Myra took on roles of increasing complexity with a focus on Talent Acquisition and Management for federal contractors in the construction industry.  Throughout her career, Myra has established and maintained robust recruiting programs focusing on women, minorities and individuals with disabilities and aided federal contractors in the successful implementation of compliant recruiting programs.

Myra has been frequently selected for HR and Recruiting related speaking engagements and development of written content for corporate HR campaigns, with recent projects including development of a national corporate outreach program targeting veterans and other key talent focus areas.  In addition, Myra has provided contractors with hands-on support in setting up internal processes and systems to support OFCCP requirements, such as applicant tracking.

Her interests include physics, astronomy, technology, gadgets, and she especially enjoys a little downtime, travel and plenty of laughter with family and friends.

Ryan Wills – Senior Associate & Program Manager

Ryan came to the M.D. Thomas & Associates team early on.  After graduating from the College of William & Mary in 2010 with a BBA in Marketing, he got his start in HR and recruiting shortly after.  During his time, he gained valuable exposure to recruiting systems and processes, as well as federal compliance practices.  His innovative use of technology was critical to improving the efficiency of recruiting operations and he brings his knowledge and experience to M.D. Thomas & Associates to help our team evaluate current operations and develop custom solutions for our clients.

His interests include baseball, football, technology, hiking, and travel.  He is originally from Herndon, Virginia and currently resides in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Sherri Sutton, PHR – Associate

An experienced human resources professional, Sherrí has been in roles of increasing responsibility and accountability throughout her career. She has extensive knowledge and experience in functional areas such as benefits management, legal compliance, recruiting, employee relations, vendor relations, processing work authorizations for foreign nationals, administration of performance management systems, employee database management, facilitation of wellness programs, event planning, and office management.

Sherrí is enthusiastic, organized, detail-oriented, and brings a spirit of camaraderie to the workplace. She prides herself in having an outstanding work ethic, and takes responsibility and accountability of the quality of work she delivers. She is able to work with and communicate with individuals of varied levels of responsibility, and delivers results with proficiency.

Ronda Harris – Associate

Senior Instructional Design and performance consultant with fifteen years’ experience in training and curriculum development, Ronda’s strengths include the ability to implement the ADDIE model, incorporate proven learning methodologies, and develop instructionally sound deliverables in order to elicit organizational impact by tying initiatives to strategic business objectives.

Ronda is formally educated in Instructional Design, Human Performance Technology, and Adult Learning Theory.  Ronda specializes in solving workforce performance issues, through analyzing organizational needs, and arriving at appropriate interventions, whether it be training or other performance improvement initiatives.

Ronda has designed a variety of workforce training curricula covering various modes of delivery. She has also contributed to performance improvement projects, using the Human Performance Technology (HPT) model, including front end analysis, strategic needs assessment, training content analysis, business process improvement, and evaluative metrics in order to measure organizational outcomes.

Her specific projects include the design and development of instructor-led, e-Learning, and blended curricula, certification programs, and certification assessment instruments in a variety of industries.
